Dubai Police has launched an innovative ‘on-the-go’ initiative to provide accessible and convenient services to the public. This initiative allows residents and visitors to report minor car accidents, crimes, and other services directly at various service stations in Dubai. The collaboration with fuel supply companies like ENOC, ADNOC, and Emarat has made it easier for motorists to access police services, vehicle repair services, and lost and found services at these stations.
The use of smart devices and advanced technology enables Dubai Police to handle various services and procedures on the streets, eliminating the need for individuals to physically visit police stations. This not only makes the process more convenient but also saves time for the public. The initiative operates across 138 service stations throughout the emirate, offering services such as vehicle repair, unknown accident reports, simple accident reports, police eye-crime reporting, and lost and found services.
Fuel station personnel at these service stations assist motorists in reporting minor accidents and obtaining accident reports against unknown parties. This reduces the waiting time for motorists and helps police patrols in maintaining traffic flow. Additionally, motorists can get their vehicles repaired at a nearby Autopro shop at Enoc stations after completing the necessary paperwork. Some residents, including seniors, people of determination, and pregnant women, can benefit from the free repair service, while others can avail of the service for a fee.
The convenience of reporting lost or found items through the Dubai Police Smart app is another feature of this initiative. Residents can file a report through the app, visit the nearest police station, or go to the Smart Police Station (SPS) to file a complaint. After filing the report, they receive a reference number to check the application status on the Dubai Police website. E-Crime self-service allows the public to report cybercrimes affecting individuals or properties by completing a form with relevant information.
The Police Eye service is another component of the initiative that allows residents to report crimes in six languages through the Dubai Police app or website. The platform aims to enhance public safety and community well-being by enabling immediate reporting of suspicious activities or traffic incidents. Overall, the ‘on-the-go’ initiative by Dubai Police is a step towards improving accessibility and convenience for the public by leveraging technology and strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in Dubai. Residents and visitors can benefit from a wide range of services at their fingertips, making it easier to access essential police services on the go.
