The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) in Bahrain recently conducted 985 inspection campaigns and visits from 21 to 27 April 2024. These efforts led to the detention of 125 irregular workers and the deportation of 123 violators. The inspections focused on monitoring violations related to labour and residency laws in the country, with legal actions taken against those found in breach of regulations. The authority conducted a total of 972 visits to various shops across all governorates, along with 13 joint inspection campaigns in different regions.

The enforcement actions by LMRA are aimed at ensuring compliance with labour and residency laws in Bahrain. The authority’s efforts to conduct inspections and visits help in identifying irregular workers and violators, in order to maintain a fair and transparent labour market. By detaining violators and deporting irregular workers, LMRA is sending a strong message about the importance of following regulations and contributing to a legal workforce in the country.

During the inspection campaigns, a number of violations related to the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and Residency Laws were identified and addressed. The authority has taken legal measures to address these violations and ensure that businesses and workers abide by the established laws. By carrying out inspections on shops in all governorates, LMRA is able to closely monitor compliance with regulations and take necessary actions against violators.

The joint inspection campaigns conducted by LMRA involved collaboration with various government agencies to ensure comprehensive monitoring of compliance with labour and residency laws. These campaigns were carried out in different governorates, including the Capital, Muharraq, Northern, and Southern regions. By working together with other authorities, LMRA is able to enhance the effectiveness of inspections and address violations more efficiently.

The detention of 125 violating and irregular workers, as well as the deportation of 123 violators, highlights the seriousness of non-compliance with labour and residency laws in Bahrain. LMRA’s proactive approach to conducting inspections and taking legal actions against violators demonstrates the authority’s commitment to upholding regulations and maintaining a fair labour market. By enforcing these laws, LMRA aims to protect the rights of both workers and employers in the country.

In conclusion, the recent inspection campaigns and visits conducted by the Labour Market Regulatory Authority in Bahrain reflect the authority’s dedication to enforcing labour and residency laws in the country. Through these efforts, LMRA aims to ensure compliance with regulations, address violations, and maintain a legal workforce. By working in collaboration with other government agencies, LMRA enhances the effectiveness of its inspections and strengthens monitoring of compliance in various governorates. The detention and deportation of violators serve as a warning to those who do not adhere to the laws, highlighting the importance of following regulations for a transparent and fair labour market in Bahrain.
