President Zelenskyy, currently on a diplomatic tour that included a stop in Halifax, Canada, to meet with Prime Minister Mark Carney, stated that negotiating teams have prepared initial drafts of key documents. He emphasized the urgency of securing a resolution, while President Trump told the New York Post he believes there is a “good shot” at reaching peace, suggesting Russia also desires an agreement. However, a massive Russian missile and drone strike on Kyiv occurred in the lead-up to the talks, underscoring the ongoing challenges.
