Aspire Academy, in partnership with the Qatar Padel Federation, is hosting the first International Padel Federation (FIP) recognized youth event in Qatar. This tournament is part of the FIP Promises Tour, which aims to showcase the world’s up-and-coming padel players. The event, held at Padel In within the Aspire Zone, features players in the U-14 and U-16 age groups and highlights the collaboration between Aspire Academy and QPF to promote youth engagement in padel.
The FIP Promises Aspire Academy tournament includes 22 teams from Qatar, Spain, Bahrain, Lebanon, and Kuwait. Aspire Academy’s own student-athletes are also competing in the event, representing Qatar’s emerging padel talent. In the U-14 category, top-seeded teams include Aspire Academy’s Hamad Mohammed Al Modadi and Spain’s Alex Acelga Dominguez, as well as Ali Abdulrahman Al Malik and Qatar’s Ahmed Hassan. In the U-16 category, Aspire Academy is represented by Abdulrahman Khalid Alyafei, Saadon Alkuwari, Rayan Meknassi, Mohammed Ali Al Hiji, and Abdulla Alqadi.
Ali Salem Afifa, Deputy Director General at Aspire Academy, expressed his excitement for hosting Qatar’s first FIP Promises event as part of the Academy’s 20th-anniversary celebrations. He emphasized the importance of nurturing young padel talent and promoting the sport’s growth in the region.
