The death toll from a devastating Russian bombing in Kharkiv, Ukraine has risen to 14, with 43 people injured in the attack. Russian troops are advancing in the Kharkiv region, aiming to get within artillery range of the city. More than 11,000 people have been evacuated from the region due to escalating Russian offensive. Ukrainian forces are actively repelling Russian advances, with intense battles reported in the eastern Donetsk region.

Russia launched extensive missile and drone attacks across Ukraine, with Ukrainian air defenses intercepting many threats. However, some missiles and drones did cause damage. Ukrainian attacks injured four people in Russia’s Belgorod region, while drones were shot down over the Kursk and Oryol border regions. The situation remains tense as both countries continue to engage in military actions.

Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy has called for a peace summit in Switzerland next month, urging world leaders, including Joe Biden and Xi Jinping, to attend. The summit, scheduled for June 15 to 16, aims to gather international leaders to discuss the Ukraine conflict, with over 80 countries confirmed to participate. Zelenskyy emphasized the need for global support in countering Russian deception. Though Russia was not invited to the summit, President Putin acknowledged their exclusion. China expressed cautious support for a peace conference involving both Russia and Ukraine.

Zelenskyy has warned of increased Russian military activity near Ukraine’s northern border, particularly around the Sumy region. Russian troops are said to be preparing for intensified offensive actions. Ukrainian forces are on high alert, working to prevent Russian advances and protect key cities from artillery range. The warning follows extensive Russian missile and drone attacks across multiple Ukrainian regions. The international community remains vigilant as Ukraine braces for potential escalations and continues its defensive operations.

The escalating conflict in Ukraine has caused devastation and loss of life, with Russian bombings claiming 14 lives and injuring dozens in Kharkiv. Russian troops are advancing in the region, prompting evacuations and intense battles between Ukrainian and Russian forces. The ongoing missile and drone attacks have resulted in damage in both Ukraine and Russia, escalating tensions between the two nations.

President Zelenskyy’s call for a peace summit in Switzerland aims to gather international support in countering Russian aggression. The summit, set for June, will bring together world leaders to discuss the Ukraine conflict and reinforce solidarity with Ukraine. Though Russia is not invited, China has expressed cautious support for a peace conference involving both countries. The summit signals a crucial effort to resolve the conflict and prevent further escalation of violence in the region.

Amidst heightened concerns over Russian military movements near Ukraine’s border, President Zelenskyy warns of intensified offensive actions by Russian troops. Ukrainian forces are on high alert, actively working to prevent Russian advances and protect key cities from potential attacks. The international community remains vigilant as Ukraine faces continued threats from Russian missile and drone attacks. As the conflict escalates, the need for global support and solidarity with Ukraine becomes increasingly crucial in ensuring peace in the region.
