The Ministry of Labour in Doha, Qatar recently wrapped up a training course focused on helping job seekers improve their professional skills. The course, organized by the Department of Qualifying Skills Development, aimed at teaching participants how to create effective CVs and excel in job interviews. Held in partnership with the Qatar Academy of Finance and Business and sponsored by Ahli Bank, the workshop was part of the “Jahez” vocational readiness program’s second cycle. Attendees learned how to craft CVs, select suitable formats, and avoid common errors over a two-day period.

Participants also received training on how to prepare for job interviews successfully. Upon completion of the course, participants were presented with certificates to recognize their achievements in CV writing and interview preparation. The Ministry of Labour’s goal is to equip job seekers with the necessary skills to enhance their professional readiness and increase their chances of securing employment opportunities in the competitive job market. This initiative aligns with the third national development strategy, which aims to boost the proportion of Qatari nationals in the workforce, particularly in the private and joint sectors.
