Hail storms have hit the UAE once again, providing a break from the scorching heat. The country is no stranger to summer rain, with some areas experiencing heavy rainfall and hail while others are facing dust storms. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued alerts for heavy rain and strong winds in Eastern areas, urging residents to take precautions. Residents have been warned of microbursts and reduced visibility due to strong winds and flash floods.

The Storm Centre shared videos of dust storms in Al Madam and heavy rain and hail in Khadairah. The NCM had predicted a rainy weekend for certain areas, with some showers expected to continue until Sunday. An orange alert has been issued for thunderstorms, dust storms, and strong winds, warning of convective cloud formation and strong winds from 3.05 pm to 8 pm on Saturday, August 24.

Abu Dhabi Civil Defence has advised residents to stay away from areas where valleys flow and water collects during rainfall. The UAE experiences summer rains due to monsoon low pressure from India, with experts predicting that the rain will continue until September 23. The NCM had also issued a yellow alert earlier for rainfall and strong winds reaching speeds of up to 45 kmph over some Eastern and Southern areas.

In conclusion, the UAE is experiencing a mix of summer rain, hail storms, and dust storms, providing relief from the intense heat. Residents are advised to stay updated on weather alerts and take precautions during heavy rain and strong winds. The country’s unique weather patterns are influenced by monsoon low pressure from India, leading to summer rains that can last until September. It is important for residents to follow safety guidelines and avoid areas prone to flash floods during rainy weather.
