Residents in some parts of the region experienced heavy rain and hail yesterday, providing a much-needed relief from the scorching heat. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued yellow and orange alerts in certain areas, prompting Abu Dhabi police to caution motorists to adhere to changing speed limits and safety measures. Videos shared by Storm Centre on Instagram captured the moment when lightning struck the Al-Qua Razin area, highlighting the intensity of the storm.

NCM reported that heavy rain accompanied by hail was also observed on Tuesday in the Al Dhafra’s Gasyoura region. The weather department predicted that today’s weather conditions will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with the possibility of convective clouds forming towards the east and south. Light to moderate winds are expected, occasionally freshening and causing blowing dust during the daytime. It is important for residents to stay updated on the latest weather news and advisories, and following KT on WhatsApp Channels can provide real-time updates.

The sea conditions are expected to be slight to moderate at times in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea, as per the NCM forecast. Winds are forecasted to blow from a southeasterly to northwesterly direction, reaching speeds of up to 35kmph in internal areas, coastal areas, and islands, and up to 40kmph in mountains. Residents are advised to monitor the weather conditions closely and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during changing weather patterns.

As the weather continues to fluctuate, it is crucial for residents to be proactive and prepared for any sudden changes. Following safety guidelines provided by meteorological authorities and local law enforcement agencies is essential to minimize the impact of severe weather events. With the support of technology and social media platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp Channels, residents can stay informed and updated on the latest weather developments and advisories, enabling them to make informed decisions and stay safe during adverse weather conditions.

In conclusion, the recent heavy rain and hail experienced by residents in certain areas have provided relief from the intense heat. With weather patterns predicted to remain partly cloudy to cloudy, residents should stay vigilant and monitor updates from the NCM and local authorities. By following safety measures and staying informed through social media channels, residents can navigate through changing weather conditions and ensure their well-being. It is important to prioritize safety and preparedness in the face of unpredictable weather events and to take necessary precautions to mitigate risks.
