Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai recently visited Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport to inspect the progress of work being done there. During his visit, Sheikh Mohammed observed the daily operations and protocols put in place to assist travellers in completing their travel procedures. He also personally inspected different sections of the airport to ensure that quality facilities were being provided for departing and arriving passengers. The airport has seen a significant increase in the number of travellers during the first quarter of 2024, with 23 million passengers, reflecting an 8.4% increase compared to the same period last year.

Sheikh Mohammed expressed his appreciation for the development witnessed in Terminal 3, highlighting Dubai International Airport as a cultural interface that reflects the aspirations for the future. He emphasized the continuous efforts to improve the travel experience for passengers by providing excellence in infrastructure, services, and advanced technologies to ensure comfort and safety. The vision for the future is defined by innovation and excellence across all spheres, with Dubai International Airport playing an essential role in achieving this ambitious vision. According to Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed, the exceptional performance of DXB has made it instantly identifiable with world-class service and quality in the aviation and travel sector.

The outstanding efforts of the teams working at the airport reflect the vision to make Dubai a preferred destination for travellers from all over the world, in line with the highest international standards. Dubai’s vision for the future is focused on innovation and excellence, with Dubai International Airport being a vital part of this ambitious vision. The continuous achievement of record growth rates in terms of the number of international passengers has positioned DXB as a symbol of world-class service and quality in the aviation and travel sector. This achievement aligns with the ambitious goals included in the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, aiming to double the size of Dubai’s economy and place it among the top three urban economies globally.

Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied on his visit by high-ranking officials, including Lieutenant General Talal Humaid Belhoul, Director General of the State Security Department in Dubai, and Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Administration of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai. The visit to Dubai International Airport highlighted the commitment to providing top-notch services and facilities for travellers, ensuring a seamless and comfortable experience for all passengers. The continuous efforts to enhance the airport’s infrastructure, services, and technologies reflect Dubai’s commitment to maintaining its position as a global hub for travel and tourism. The inspection by Sheikh Mohammed underscores the importance of ensuring the highest standards of excellence and quality in all aspects of airport operations.
