University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Al Mussanah announces launch of Summer Programme

The University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Al Mussanah is set to host a summer programme from June 23 to July 29, 2024, aimed at enhancing the skills of community members and government employees. Dr. Khalifa Al Hatmi, Head of Continuing Education and Community Service Department, highlighted the programme’s goal to bridge the gap between the university and the community by offering high-quality programs. The diverse range of workshops and training programmes will cater to various individuals, including university students, graduates, employees, and 12th-grade school students.

One of the key highlights of the summer programme is an IELTS Preparation Course designed for individuals from both within and outside the university, providing them with the opportunity to take the IELTS exam on campus upon completion of the program. Moreover, courses focusing on enhancing English language skills for 12th-grade students, as well as a workshop on the art of architecture, will be offered. The programme also includes sports and technical activities such as Athletics, Taekwondo, robotics, artificial intelligence workshops, Microsoft Office 365 fundamentals course, and a certification course for home electrical wiring aimed at graduates and job seekers.

In the health and safety field, the summer programme will offer a first aid workshop and a resume writing workshop. Additionally, the “Future Pioneers” training camp will concentrate on developing leadership and innovation skills among the youth. These workshops and courses are part of the university’s commitment to providing educational and developmental opportunities for individuals in the community, aiming to enhance education, training, and capacity building to achieve sustainable development.

The programme’s focus on offering a diverse range of workshops and training programmes underscores the university’s dedication to promoting lifelong learning and skill development among individuals of all ages and backgrounds. By providing opportunities for participants to enhance their skills in various areas such as language, sports, technology, health, and safety, the programme aims to contribute to the overall development of individuals within the community.
