The spotlight will be on new Liverpool manager Arne Slot as he faces his first competitive game against Ipswich. United’s FA Cup win over City has secured Erik ten Hag’s position as manager, and the club has made significant signings to strengthen the squad. Fulham’s victory over United in February creates apprehension for fans ahead of the new season. Liverpool, on the other hand, have yet to make any signings but have shown promise in pre-season games. A win against Ipswich could provide some relief for fans transitioning from Jurgen Klopp’s era. Chelsea, under new manager Enzo Maresca, faces a challenging start against his former club. With a bloated squad and uncertainties surrounding player futures, Chelsea’s pre-season was tumultuous. In contrast, City has made minimal changes, with Savinho being the only new addition.

The weekend fixtures include Liverpool facing Ipswich, Arsenal against Wolves, and Everton playing Brighton, among others. On Sunday, Chelsea takes on Manchester City in a highly anticipated clash.
