Her Excellency Ms. Eman Ahmed Al Doseri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, emphasized the importance of investing in the development of the human element as a key pillar in economic sustainability. She highlighted the significance of investing in Bahraini youth as a crucial step towards digital transformation and promoting a sustainable competitive economy. She also stressed the importance of continuing to adopt qualitative programs to solidify Bahrain’s position as a regional technology hub in the Middle East by providing an environment conducive to creativity and attracting large and emerging companies.

The Undersecretary made these remarks during the closing ceremony of the “e-Commerce Champions” program’s fourth edition. The ceremony was attended by several officials and participants, including Mr. Ahmed Buhazza, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, at the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry headquarters. During the event, Ms. Al Doseri toured the exhibition and commended the innovative projects created by participating youth under the guidance of specialists and experts in the field. She praised the program and its team for nurturing ambitious young talents and helping them realize their ideas and aspirations in sustainable entrepreneurship.

Mr. Ahmed Buhazza, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, lauded the Ministry of Industry and Commerce’s support for the e-Commerce Champions Program. He acknowledged the exceptional innovative skills displayed by the selected nominees, who had excelled in various local competitions and programs. He also highlighted the participants’ dedication and efforts throughout the program, which focused on providing young individuals with the necessary skills to adapt to rapid economic changes, particularly in e-Commerce, artificial intelligence, and fintech, the main themes of the event’s workshops.

The e-Commerce Champions Program, which has been successful in previous editions, aims to equip Bahraini university students with the tools and skills needed to venture into entrepreneurship in the field of technology and artificial intelligence upon graduation. The program seeks to foster an entrepreneurial mindset among young individuals and prepare them for the evolving digital landscape of the business world. Participants receive guidance from industry experts and mentors to help them turn their innovative ideas into sustainable business ventures that contribute to Bahrain’s growing technology sector.

In conclusion, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, under the leadership of Ms. Eman Ahmed Al Doseri, continues to prioritize the development of Bahrain’s youth and the enhancement of their skills in technology and innovation. By supporting programs like the e-Commerce Champions Program, the Ministry aims to create a generation of tech-savvy entrepreneurs who can drive digital transformation and economic growth in the region. With a focus on providing the necessary resources and guidance to young individuals, Bahrain is positioning itself as a hub for technological advancement and innovation in the Middle East.
