The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) recently held a certificate distribution ceremony for the Public Works Authority’s (Ashghal) staff following the completion of a 14-week training program on Administrative Development. The ceremony was attended by various officials, including Dr. Rachid Benlamri, Vice President, Academics at UDST, Hamad Abdulla AlKuwari, Director of Continuing and Professional Education (CPE), and Dr. Abdulla Ali S A Albehaih, Assistant HR Manager at Ashghal. The training program was tailored to Ashghal’s administrative needs and consisted of modules focused on workplace professionalism, computer applications, Microsoft Excel, and general English.

The training provided the staff with theoretical knowledge and applied skills related to communication, business etiquette, time management, customer service, business meetings, office management, and relationship building. The program’s success has led to Ashgal enrolling its fourth cohort with CPE, with the curriculum now including contemporary themes like emotional intelligence, cyber security, and artificial intelligence. Dr. Salem Al Naemi, President of UDST, expressed his pleasure at collaborating with Ashghal on effective programs, emphasizing the university’s commitment to providing continuing education and professional growth opportunities for organizations and individuals in both the public and private sectors.

Hamad Abdulla AlKuwari, Director of CPE Directorate, highlighted the fruitful partnership with Ashghal and how the training program has equipped Ashghal’s administrative staff with essential skills and knowledge. Through alliances with educational institutions worldwide, CPE delivers internationally acclaimed programs, empowering professionals in Qatar to compete on national and global stages. The trained professionals were wished success, and future collaboration opportunities were anticipated. The tailored training solutions offered by UDST cater to the diverse developmental needs of professionals and ensure flexibility and tangible benefits for participants to excel and prosper in their professional careers.
