UDST recognizes outstanding HMC professionals | The Peninsula Qatar

University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) recently held a certificate distribution ceremony to honor Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) professionals who completed training on diabetes education and patient care. The ceremony was attended by UDST President Dr. Salem Al Naemi, along with senior officials from HMC and PHCC, as well as faculty and staff from UDST. The “Fundamentals of Diabetes Education” (FDE) program, a 10-year partnership between UDST and HMC, has seen the graduation of nine cohorts, equipping healthcare providers with essential skills and knowledge to specialize in diabetes patient education.

UDST’s tailored courses are designed to provide HMC employees from various disciplines, such as physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and dietitians, with the necessary skills to effectively educate patients about diabetes and contribute to developing diabetes care capabilities in line with the National Diabetes Strategy.
