UDST and DFI form partnership for training and education

The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) and the Doha Film Institute (DFI) have recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration between academia and the media industry. This strategic partnership aims to focus on training and education, program development, and community outreach activities. The MoU was signed by UDST President Dr. Salem Al Naemi and DFI CEO Fatma Hassan Al Remaihi, with the goal of providing students with applied learning opportunities and real-world industry exposure. Students in the Bachelor of Science in Digital Communication and Media Production program will benefit from training and volunteering opportunities, as well as access to educational resources from DFI.

Dr. Salem Al Naemi, President of UDST, expressed his pride in partnering with DFI, an institution known for fostering local culture and media production with international standards. The collaboration aims to enrich the DCMP program and prepare graduates for successful careers in Qatar’s dynamic media industry. UDST recently introduced an Arabic-English track for the program, further supporting the industry’s labor needs. Fatma Hassan Al Remaihi, CEO of DFI, highlighted the partnership as a vital connection between academia and creativity, blending storytelling with various media forms. The collaboration aims to inspire, educate, and innovate, providing students with practical knowledge to contribute meaningfully to the community and economic progress.
