The UAE Youth Kickboxing Championship recently concluded after three days of intense competition at the Space 42 Arena in Al Raha Beach, Abu Dhabi. The event featured a total of 571 male and female athletes from 41 different clubs. In the overall rankings, Team UAM secured the top position with 10 gold and one silver medal. Khaleej International Sports followed closely behind with seven gold, four silver, and eight bronze medals, and Golden Sport Center – Al Ain secured third place with seven gold and two bronze medals.

The final day of the championship saw champions being crowned by esteemed individuals such as Abdullah Al Neyadi, President of the Asian and Arab Muay Thai Federation, and Ali Khouri, a member of the Federation’s Board of Directors and the International Kickboxing Federation. Yasser Salem Al Saadi, another member of the Federation’s Board of Directors, also participated in the awarding ceremony. The newly constructed Space 42 Arena, a contemporary architectural marvel, hosted the championship, showcasing advanced facilities that contribute to enhancing the sports infrastructure in Abu Dhabi.

The championship received strong support from the families of participating players and saw significant engagement from clubs across the country, featuring young talents aged 8 to 18 years. Al Neyadi expressed his satisfaction with the event’s success, stating that the large participation and organization in a new sports hall symbolize progress and prosperity in the kickboxing arena. He emphasized the importance of such championships in fostering national accomplishments and enhancing partnerships with organizations like the International Kickboxing Federation (WAKO) in preparation for hosting the World Championship next year.

In conclusion, the UAE Youth Kickboxing Championship showcased the talent and dedication of young athletes across the country, highlighting the growing popularity of kickboxing as a competitive sport. The event not only provided a platform for athletes to showcase their skills but also contributed to the development of the sports infrastructure in Abu Dhabi. With strong support from families, clubs, and federation members, the championship served as a stepping stone towards future success and collaboration with international organizations in the kickboxing community. The success of the championship underscores the UAE’s commitment to promoting sports excellence and nurturing young talent in various disciplines.
