UAM secures 16 gold medals at UAE Open Muay Thai Championship – News

The UAE Youth Open Muay Thai Championship recently concluded with great success after three days of intense competition. The event, organized by the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation, featured 551 athletes representing 47 clubs. The final day of the championship was attended by notable figures such as Sorayot Chasombat, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the UAE, and Mustafa Jabbar Alak, President of the Iraqi Muay Thai Federation. Also present were other key members of the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation, including board directors and the Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab Muay Thai Federation.

Team UAM emerged as the top performer in the championship, securing an impressive 16 gold medals and five silver medals. Abu Dhabi Muay Thai followed closely behind with 14 gold, six silver, and eight bronze medals, totaling 28 medals. TK MMA also performed well, securing third place with eight gold, five silver, and two bronze medals, bringing their total to 15 medals. These results highlight the talent and dedication of the athletes who competed in the championship.

The championship is part of the Federation’s strategic agenda to promote Muay Thai, increase participation in competitions, and provide young athletes with valuable opportunities to hone their skills. These efforts are aligned with the Federation’s commitment to identifying emerging talents and strengthening national teams with promising athletes across different age groups. Abdullah Saeed Al Neyadi, President of the Asian and Arab Muay Thai Federations and the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation, emphasized the significant growth of Muay Thai in the UAE and the positive impact it has had on the level of competitions.

Al Neyadi praised the achievements of the UAE Open Youth Muay Thai Championship, highlighting the high level of competition and the sport’s growing presence in the UAE. He commended the participating clubs and athletes for enriching the competitive atmosphere of the championship and congratulated all the winners in their respective categories. The success of the championship reflects the commitment of the Federation to expand the sport’s base and strengthen national teams with talented athletes across various categories and weight classes.

Overall, the UAE Youth Open Muay Thai Championship was a resounding success, showcasing the skill and dedication of the participating athletes. The event not only provided a platform for young athletes to demonstrate their abilities but also contributed to the growth and development of Muay Thai in the UAE. With the continued support of the Federation and the dedication of athletes and clubs, Muay Thai is set to further prosper in the country, paving the way for future success in international competitions.
