The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has predicted the possibility of rainfall over the eastern and southern areas of the UAE on Saturday afternoon. Additionally, the weather department issued a warning to motorists regarding poor visibility caused by fog formation on Saturday morning. The poor visibility may worsen and drop further at times until 8.30 am, affecting driving conditions.

The UAE has been experiencing foggy conditions in the morning for the past few days, prompting the weather department to issue red alerts due to the limited visibility caused by fog. To stay informed about the latest news and weather updates, residents are advised to follow KT on WhatsApp Channels for up-to-date information.

Abu Dhabi Police also issued a cautionary message to motorists urging them to be vigilant due to reduced visibility during the fog. Drivers are advised to adhere to changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards to ensure road safety. Moreover, the met issued a yellow alert for dust, with strong winds expected to blow at times throughout the country.

The meteorological department highlighted that the horizontal visibility may decrease to less than 3000 meters over some eastern and northern areas from 9 am until 6 pm. Additionally, a tropical storm in the northeast of the Arabian Sea could indirectly affect the UAE. While some areas may experience rain, the overall weather is expected to be fair with partly cloudy conditions.

Despite the rainy conditions in some areas, the weather will remain humid during the night and Sunday morning, with a likelihood of fog or mist formation in certain western coastal and internal areas. Light to moderate winds, occasionally freshening, may cause dust over the country. The sea conditions are forecasted to be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.

In conclusion, residents of the UAE are advised to stay informed about the changing weather conditions and exercise caution while driving during foggy periods. Following speed limits and traffic regulations is crucial to ensure road safety. While rainfall is expected in some areas, the overall weather is anticipated to be fair with partly cloudy conditions. Stay updated with the latest news and weather alerts to plan your activities accordingly.
