The General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat (Awqaf) has announced that registration for the next Haj season – Haj 2025 – will open in September 2024. Pilgrims are required to submit their applications through the Authority’s smart application or website to be considered. This year’s Haj concluded on June 18, with pilgrims completing the symbolic stoning of the devil on the third day.

Approximately 1.8 million pilgrims participated in this year’s Haj, with 1.6 million coming from outside of Saudi Arabia. Haj is considered one of the five pillars of Islam and is mandatory for all Muslims who have the means to do so at least once. In the UAE, Haj permits are typically only issued to Emiratis, while expatriates must follow the quota and procedures of their home countries. Pilgrims often travel with licensed tour operators who offer all-inclusive packages covering visa costs, accommodations, transportation, and meals.

To keep up with the latest news and updates on the Haj season, individuals can follow KT on WhatsApp Channels. The pilgrimage to Mecca holds significant religious importance for Muslims worldwide, with millions of worshippers traveling to Saudi Arabia each year to fulfill this obligation. The General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments provides a list of approved tour operators for Haj, making it easier for pilgrims to plan their journey.

The Haj season is a time of spiritual reflection, worship, and unity for Muslims from all walks of life. It is a unique opportunity for individuals to come together in prayer and devotion, reinforcing their faith and connection to Allah. By following the guidelines set forth by the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, pilgrims can ensure a smooth and meaningful Haj experience that adheres to the teachings and traditions of Islam.

With the registration for Haj 2025 opening soon, individuals who wish to participate in the pilgrimage are encouraged to start planning and preparing for their journey. By utilizing the Authority’s smart application and website, pilgrims can easily submit their applications and secure their spots for the upcoming season. The Haj pilgrimage is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many Muslims, and with proper preparation and guidance, individuals can fulfill this important religious obligation with ease and peace of mind.
