The UAE is currently experiencing heavy fog, with the National Meteorological Centre issuing red and yellow warnings across the country. The dense fog is causing reduced visibility, especially in the early morning hours, making travel hazardous. Motorists are advised to exercise caution, reduce speed, and maintain a safe distance between vehicles. Speed limits have been reduced on several roads by the Abu Dhabi Police, with changing speed limits displayed on electronic boards. Dubai Police have also warned residents to drive safely due to low visibility caused by fog.

The weather today is expected to be fair with partly cloudy skies developing in the east by afternoon. A decrease in temperatures, especially in the western regions, is anticipated. There is an increase in humidity at night and into Friday morning, leading to a chance of fog or mist formation over coastal and internal areas. Winds will be light to moderate, occasionally freshening during the day. Sea conditions will range from slight to moderate, with the Arabian Gulf potentially becoming rough in the west and the Oman Sea remaining slight. Temperatures are forecasted to reach highs of 38℃ in Abu Dhabi and 37℃ in Dubai, with humidity levels around 90 percent.

Following speed limits, maintaining distance between vehicles, and driving safely are crucial to ensuring road safety during foggy weather. With the expected decrease in temperatures and increase in humidity, fog or mist formation is likely over certain areas, especially coastal regions. Drivers are advised to be extra cautious during these conditions to prevent accidents and ensure safe travels.

The UAE’s National Meteorological Centre has issued warnings about heavy fog blanketing large parts of the country, from Ras Al Khaimah to Abu Dhabi. The visibility is significantly reduced, making travel hazardous, particularly in the early hours of the morning. Motorists are urged to exercise caution, reduce speed, and follow the changing speed limits displayed on electronic boards. With fair weather conditions expected today and a decrease in temperatures, it is important for residents to be aware of potential fog formation and drive safely to prevent accidents and ensure road safety. Stay informed and take necessary precautions when driving in foggy conditions to protect yourself and others on the road.
