A red alert has been issued for fog in some areas, active from 6.15am to 9am, warning of a drop in horizontal visibility that may reduce even further at times. Earlier, a yellow alert was also issued, from 4.30am to 9am. With fog being seen in parts of Abu Dhabi, speed limits were reduced on some roads including Al Taf road and Sweihan road, but have since returned to normal. Abu Dhabi Police have urged motorists to exercise caution.

After the autumn equinox on September 22, temperatures are gradually dropping in the UAE, falling below 25°C at night and below 40°C during the day. Today, temperatures are expected to range between 30°C and 39°C in Abu Dhabi, and between 31°C and 38°C in Dubai. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasted fair weather in general with partly cloudy skies at times. Humidity is expected by night and Thursday morning, with a chance of fog or mist formation over some coastal and internal areas. Light to moderate winds are expected, freshening at times, while the sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.

It is important for residents in the UAE to stay updated with the latest news and weather conditions. Follow KT on WhatsApp Channels for real-time updates on the weather and other news. It is crucial for motorists to be cautious when driving in foggy conditions, as visibility can be severely reduced, increasing the risk of accidents. By following speed limits and maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles, drivers can help ensure their safety and the safety of others on the road.

As the temperatures continue to drop in the UAE, it is advisable for residents to prepare for cooler weather by dressing appropriately and staying warm. With temperatures falling below 25°C at night, it is important to have enough layers to stay comfortable. Additionally, with the weather expected to be fair and partly cloudy, residents can enjoy outdoor activities while taking precautions for fog formation in coastal and internal areas.

In conclusion, the UAE is experiencing a gradual decrease in temperatures after the autumn equinox, with fog alerts issued in some areas. Motorists are advised to drive cautiously and adhere to speed limits in foggy conditions. Residents should stay updated with the latest news and weather forecasts to prepare for the changing weather conditions. By following safety precautions and staying informed, residents can enjoy the cooler weather while staying safe and protected.
