The UAE National Golf Team, along with officials, is heading to Morocco for a three-week intensive training camp in partnership with the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation. The camp aims to prepare the players for the upcoming 2024-25 golf season and will include twenty UAE players from various teams joining forces with other golf federations for competition, performance development, testing, and team building.

Since the 2022 Arab alliance partnership between the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) and the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation, yearly training camps have been hosted at the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam Golf Club. This year, players from Golf Saudi, Lebanon Golf Federation, and Kuwait Golf Federation will also participate, taking advantage of the club’s state-of-the-art facilities and championship courses.

The EGF has sent UAE National Team coaches, as well as biomechanics and fitness performance coaches from South Africa and Great Britain, to lead the training camp focused on player development and competition. The coaches will assess all aspects of the players’ golf game and create a competitive atmosphere among the federations to push the players to their best.

General Abdallah Alhashmi, Vice-Chairman of the Emirates Golf Federation, emphasized the importance of challenging the players and coaches to push their limits during the training camp. The camp will provide an opportunity for players to compete against their counterparts from other Arab Golf Federation programs and identify areas for improvement.

EGF officials, including General Alhashmi, Khalid Mubarak Al Shamsi, Secretary General, and Akram Skaik, Director General, will be present at the training camp to oversee the progress of the UAE National Team. General Alhashmi highlighted the progress made in the high-performance program over the past 18 months and expressed optimism for the upcoming 2024-2025 season with more ranked players and participation in international tournaments.

Overall, the UAE National Golf Team’s training camp in Morocco, in collaboration with other golf federations, aims to enhance player development, performance, and competition. The camp will provide an opportunity for players to test their skills, learn from other programs, and strive to improve their game for the upcoming golf season.
