Mercedes-Benz SUVs in the UAE are set to be recalled due to transmission issues. The affected models are the 2019-2023 GLS/GLE with engine M256 and automatic transmission NAG3. The recall is being conducted in coordination with the Consumer Protection and Commercial Control Department in the Ministry of Economy to ensure consumer protection. Mercedes-Benz AG has identified a software issue in the transmission control unit of certain GLE/GLS vehicles. A total of 2,521 vehicles are affected by the recall campaign, with specific vehicle identification numbers being listed for reference.

Affected vehicle owners have been notified of the recall, and they are advised to contact the local importers, Gargash Enterprises and Emirates Motor Company, for further assistance. The distributors express regret for any inconvenience caused and thank their customers for their patience and understanding. Customers can reach out to Gargash Enterprises at 800 2369 and Emirates Motor Company at 800 362 for more information or to address any concerns regarding the recall.

The VIN, which is a unique identifier for each vehicle, can be found on the driver’s door jamb and on a plate attached to the dashboard. The recall is part of the distributors’ commitment to ensuring the safety and satisfaction of their customers. By conducting ongoing reviews of all products in the UAE, they aim to provide the necessary protection and support to consumers. It is crucial for affected vehicle owners to take action promptly and follow the instructions provided by the local importers to address the transmission issue in their Mercedes-Benz SUVs.

In the event of any further updates or developments related to the recall, customers are advised to stay informed by following KT on WhatsApp Channels for the latest news. The distributors emphasize the importance of prioritizing consumer safety and satisfaction in their operations. By proactively addressing issues such as the transmission software concern in the recalled vehicles, Mercedes-Benz aims to uphold its reputation for high-quality and reliable luxury vehicles in the market. The distributors remain committed to resolving the issue efficiently and ensuring that their customers are well-informed and supported throughout the recall process.
