Edge Group, UAE’s leader in advanced technology and defense, recently announced the launch of its new space company, FADA. This move is set to enhance the group’s global competitiveness and further establish its pioneering status in the field of space capabilities. By leveraging national and international partnerships, FADA aims to build a self-reliant sovereign space sector that can meet the UAE’s national and commercial requirements.

Through the Transfer of Technology (ToT) and Transfer of Knowledge (ToK), FADA aims to ensure that the UAE remains at the forefront of space innovation and technology. The launch of FADA will help Edge Group grow and strengthen its position in the global space industry, aligning with the UAE’s vision of becoming a leader in space technologies. Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE Group, expressed that FADA will create a blueprint for a self-sufficient and innovative ecosystem in the space sector.

Established in November 2019, Edge is a leading advanced technology group in the UAE, dedicated to developing agile, bold, and disruptive solutions for defense and beyond. The group aims to be a catalyst for change and transformation in the industry. Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, Edge comprises more than 25 entities organized into five core clusters: Platforms & Systems, Missiles & Weapons, Space & Cyber Technologies, Trading & Mission Support, and Homeland Security.

The launch of FADA represents a significant step for Edge Group in its mission to drive innovation and technological advancement in the space sector. By establishing a presence in the global space industry, Edge aims to contribute to the UAE’s vision of leadership in cutting-edge space technologies. With a focus on national and international partnerships, as well as the transfer of technology and knowledge, FADA is poised to create a self-reliant and competitive space sector in the UAE.

As the UAE continues to make strides in the field of space exploration and technology, the launch of FADA under the Edge Group umbrella marks a significant milestone in the country’s journey towards becoming a key player in the global space industry. The group’s commitment to innovation and collaboration is evident in its strategy to leverage partnerships and knowledge transfer to foster a self-sufficient space sector that caters to both national and commercial needs. With FADA’s launch, Edge Group is well-positioned to lead the way in space innovation and technology.
