Ajman’s bus-on-demand (BOD) service has been suspended by the Transport Authority until further notice. The BOD service, which operates minibuses from 6 am to 11 pm, aims to reduce waiting times for commuters and alleviate traffic congestion. Passengers can book seats on the bus through an app, with the route being instantly determined based on service requests. The commuter specifies their location and destination, and an AI-powered app specifies the nearest point where they can catch the bus.
The service charges Dh7 per passenger, with an additional Dh4 per person for groups of more than one, up to a maximum of four people. The suspension of the BOD service was announced on June 4, with the Ajman Transport Authority expressing gratitude for understanding and cooperation during this period.
As the service remains suspended until further notice, commuters are advised to stay updated with the latest news by following KT on WhatsApp channels. It is essential to keep abreast of any developments regarding the resumption of the BOD service and alternative transportation options in Ajman.
The innovative approach of the BOD service in Ajman has been a convenient option for commuters, providing a flexible and efficient mode of transport. By utilizing technology to streamline the booking process and optimize route planning, the service has demonstrated the potential to enhance the overall transportation experience in the city. Despite the temporary suspension, the BOD service has showcased the benefits of on-demand transportation solutions in addressing the evolving needs of urban mobility.
With the increasing demand for sustainable and user-centric transportation solutions, the BOD service is positioned to play a significant role in the future of mobility in Ajman. As authorities work towards resolving any issues leading to the suspension, it is crucial for commuters to remain informed and adaptable to changes in their transportation routines. By leveraging the convenience and efficiency of on-demand bus services, Ajman aims to create a more seamless and integrated public transportation network for its residents and visitors.
In conclusion, the temporary suspension of Ajman’s bus-on-demand service underscores the importance of agile and responsive transportation systems in meeting the dynamic demands of urban mobility. Despite the current setback, the BOD service represents a forward-thinking approach to enhancing transportation options in Ajman. By staying informed and prepared for future updates, commuters can navigate the evolving landscape of transportation services in the city. As authorities work towards resolving the issues leading to the suspension, the potential for a resumed and improved BOD service remains promising for the community’s transportation needs.
