Muhammad Waseem led the UAE to victory with a brilliant knock of 89 off 50 balls in their opening match of the T20 tri-series against Namibia. This win marked their highest score in T20 internationals, as they posted a total of 245 for two. Alishan Sharafu also played a crucial role, scoring 73 off just 33 balls and sharing a 130-run opening partnership with Waseem. Asif Khan and Basil Hameed contributed with quickfire cameos to propel the UAE to a commanding total.

Namibia put up a fight in their chase but fell short, finishing at 205 for eight. Opener JP Kotze top-scored with 55 runs, but Muhammad Jawadullah, Ali Naseer, and Basil took two wickets each for the UAE to secure the victory. Next, the UAE will face USA in their upcoming match.

The UAE’s dominant performance was a result of Waseem’s exceptional leadership and batting prowess. His unbeaten half-century played a significant role in setting up the UAE’s victory. With Sharafu’s explosive innings providing solid support, the team was able to achieve their highest T20 score and put pressure on Namibia right from the start.

The UAE’s bowlers also played a crucial role in securing the victory, with Muhammad Jawadullah, Ali Naseer, and Basil taking key wickets to restrict Namibia’s chase. The team’s strong all-round performance bodes well for their upcoming matches in the tri-series, as they look to continue their winning momentum.

This victory marks a positive start for the UAE in the T20 tri-series, with Waseem’s captaincy and batting form setting the tone for the team. The comprehensive win against Namibia will boost their confidence as they prepare to face tougher opponents in the tournament. With strong contributions from multiple players, the UAE will look to build on this momentum and continue their winning streak.

In their upcoming match against USA, the UAE will aim to maintain their dominance and further establish themselves as a competitive force in T20 cricket. With key players in form and the team firing on all cylinders, they will be a formidable challenge for any opposition in the tri-series. Fans can expect an exciting contest as the UAE look to build on their strong start and make a mark in the tournament.
