Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the UAE, recently announced the cancellation of its services to and from Tel Aviv and Beirut due to the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. The cancellation was in response to the closure of Tel Aviv airport and ongoing regional developments. Flights affected include EY593 from Abu Dhabi to Tel Aviv and EY594 from Tel Aviv to Abu Dhabi, as well as EY535 from Abu Dhabi to Beirut and EY538 from Beirut to Abu Dhabi. The decision was made in light of the escalating tensions and security concerns in the region.

Israel conducted precise strikes in Lebanon to thwart an imminent threat from Hezbollah, leading to a state of emergency being declared in Israel. The Israeli military issued instructions to its citizens, including limiting gatherings and closing relevant sites. In response, Hezbollah carried out a large scale attack with rockets and drones on Israel, following the killing of one of its commanders in an Israeli attack. The situation remains tense as both sides engage in military actions and counteractions.

Despite the conflict, Israel’s Civil Aviation Authority announced the resumption of flights to and from Tel Aviv’s main airport, Ben Gurion, after a brief suspension. Etihad Airways is assisting passengers who were booked on flights to Israel and Lebanon with their travel arrangements. The airline continues to monitor the situation in the region closely and maintains close contact with authorities to ensure the safety of its guests and crew. The cancellation of flights may cause inconvenience to travelers, but safety remains the top priority for Etihad Airways.

As the situation in the region remains fluid and tensions escalate between Israel and Hezbollah, airlines like Etihad Airways are taking precautionary measures to ensure the safety of their passengers and crew. The cancellation of flights to and from Tel Aviv and Beirut is a response to the closure of airports and ongoing regional developments. Passengers booked on affected flights are being assisted with alternative travel arrangements to minimize disruption to their travel plans.

The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has escalated in recent days, with both sides engaging in military actions and counteractions. Israel declared a state of emergency after conducting precise strikes in Lebanon to thwart threats from Hezbollah. Hezbollah retaliated with a large scale attack on Israel, leading to heightened tensions in the region. The resumption of flights to and from Tel Aviv’s main airport indicates a temporary easing of the situation, but the overall security remains a concern for airlines operating in the region.

Etihad Airways’ decision to cancel flights to and from Tel Aviv and Beirut reflects the airline’s commitment to prioritizing the safety and security of its passengers and crew. The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has created a volatile situation in the region, prompting airlines to take precautionary measures to mitigate risks. Passengers affected by the cancellations are being provided with assistance to make alternative travel arrangements. As the situation unfolds, Etihad Airways will continue to monitor developments and coordinate with relevant authorities to ensure the safety of its operations.
