In a bid to make waste disposal more convenient for residents of Bahrain, the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture has installed twenty vending machines for waste bags across the country. This initiative was undertaken by the Muharraq Municipal Council, with Fadhel Al Oud, Chairman of the Technical Committee, overseeing the project. The vending machines are designed to automatically distribute household waste bags, eliminating the need for residents to visit service centres in the capital or municipalities.

The key advantage of these vending machines is that they dispense garbage bags without the need for appointments or waiting. They are strategically located in commercial centres throughout all governorates, allowing residents to access the service while shopping. According to Al Oud, residents can use the vending machines by presenting a smart card and entering their electricity account number. This ensures a seamless and efficient process for obtaining waste bags.

The availability of this service every day of the week, including outside regular working hours, is aimed at enhancing convenience and satisfaction with municipal services. The strategic placement of the twenty vending machines in various locations such as shopping malls, municipal offices, and markets makes it easily accessible for residents across the kingdom. This accessibility ensures that residents can conveniently dispose of their waste without any hassle or delay.

Some of the key locations where these vending machines have been installed include Seef Mall, LuLu Mall, Capital Municipality Office in Tubli, Sitra Mall, and many more. By having these machines in high-traffic areas, residents can easily access waste bags while going about their daily activities. This not only simplifies the waste disposal process but also promotes a cleaner and more sustainable environment.

Residents of Bahrain now have a more convenient and efficient way of obtaining waste bags, thanks to the installation of twenty vending machines across the country. This initiative by the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture, in collaboration with the Muharraq Municipal Council, aims to streamline the waste disposal process and enhance satisfaction with municipal services. By providing easy access to garbage bags in strategic locations, residents can now dispose of their waste without any hassle or inconvenience. This initiative aligns with Bahrain’s commitment to promoting sustainability and environmental consciousness.

With the installation of these vending machines, residents no longer have to visit service centres to obtain waste bags. Instead, they can simply use the vending machines located in commercial centres, markets, and malls across the kingdom. This not only saves time and effort for residents but also promotes a cleaner and more environmentally friendly approach to waste disposal. Overall, the introduction of these vending machines is a positive step towards making waste disposal more efficient and convenient for the residents of Bahrain.
