Top international players to participate in Dubai’s Premier Padel P1 tournament – News

Dubai is all set to host the Dubai Premier Padel P1 tournament, marking a historic milestone for the sport in the UAE. The event, scheduled to take place from November 3-10 at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium, is part of a 25-tournament season that spans across 18 countries and five continents. The tournament will feature top players such as Arturo Coello, Ariana Sanchez Fallada, Juan Lebron, and Alejandro Galan, competing for a total prize pool of €470,000 euros.

The launch of Dubai Premier Padel P1 has been made possible through a collaboration between the UAE Padel Association, the Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai Sports Council, Premier Padel, and Gallop Global. Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, President of the UAEPA, expressed his excitement about the event and highlighted its importance in promoting the growth of padel in the region. The tournament aligns with Dubai’s vision of becoming a global hub for premier sporting events and a leading city to live, work, and visit.

Ticket sales for the Dubai Premier Padel P1 tournament have already begun, with prices starting from Dh60. Early bird discounts are available until July 1, allowing fans to purchase tickets at a 20% discount. The tournament is expected to draw a large audience, with padel being a popular sport in the UAE. The International Padel Federation estimates that 25 million people play padel worldwide, and the UAE is home to over 320 padel facilities and 950 courts, with a significant fan following and social media presence.

Ivan Modia, the Tournament Director of Dubai Premier Padel P1, emphasized that the event is not just a one-time tournament but a year-round project aimed at establishing a lasting legacy for the sport and the city. The organizers have ambitious plans to promote padel in schools, provide pathways for amateurs to turn professional, and work closely with the UAEPA to grow the sport locally and nationally. With top players set to compete and a significant prize pool at stake, the Dubai Premier Padel P1 tournament promises to be a thrilling and impactful event for the sport.

The tournament is not only a showcase of elite padel talent but also an opportunity to engage the local community and promote the sport’s growth in the region. By hosting international events like Dubai Premier Padel P1, Dubai is solidifying its reputation as a global sports destination and creating opportunities for both athletes and fans to participate in and enjoy high-level competitions.
