The Bahrain Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Society is hosting the 12th edition of the World Small and Medium Enterprises Day Summit in collaboration with various organizations including the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Chinese Embassy in Bahrain, and the United International Small and Medium Enterprises Organisation (UNISMO). The summit, set to take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Manama, holds particular significance this year following the successful visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to China, where joint cooperation agreements were signed between the two nations. The theme of this year’s summit is “Investment Opportunities for Small and Medium Enterprises in Bahrain and China.”

Dr. Abdul Hassan Hassan Al-Dairi, Chairman of the Bahrain SMEs Society and UNISMO, emphasized the importance of enhancing investment relations between Bahrain and China, especially in the SME sector, which plays a crucial role in the economies of both countries. The success of the SME sector is seen as essential for national economic growth and prosperity. The summit will provide a platform for Bahraini and Chinese investors to engage in bilateral investment meetings, exploring potential partnerships and joint ventures. Moreover, cooperation agreements will be signed, and initiatives will be launched to strengthen the financial and business sectors in both nations.

Dr. Al-Dairi has extended a warm invitation to Bahraini entrepreneurs and SME owners to participate in the summit, highlighting the opportunities for collaboration and growth that will be presented during the event. The conference aims to build on the momentum of His Majesty the King’s visit to China, fostering closer ties and creating a conducive environment for business expansion and cooperation between the two countries. The theme of investment opportunities for SMEs in Bahrain and China underscores the potential for mutually beneficial partnerships that can drive economic development and innovation.

With a focus on strengthening the SME sector in both Bahrain and China, the summit is expected to facilitate discussions on various aspects of business collaboration, including technology transfer, knowledge sharing, and market access. The conference serves as a platform for networking and building connections between entrepreneurs and investors from both countries, fostering a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship. By promoting dialogue and cooperation, the summit aims to create a conducive environment for SMEs to thrive and contribute to the overall economic growth and development of Bahrain and China.

In line with the vision for enhanced investment relations and collaboration between Bahrain and China, the summit will feature sessions and panel discussions on key topics such as financing options for SMEs, market entry strategies, and industry-specific opportunities. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with experts in the field, gain insights into best practices, and explore potential areas for collaboration. The event will also showcase success stories and case studies of SMEs that have leveraged partnerships and investments to grow and expand their businesses, inspiring others to follow suit.

Overall, the 12th edition of the World Small and Medium Enterprises Day Summit promises to be a dynamic and engaging platform for exploring investment opportunities, fostering partnerships, and promoting economic growth in Bahrain and China. With a lineup of distinguished speakers, interactive sessions, and networking opportunities, the summit is poised to bring together key stakeholders from the SME sector to exchange ideas, forge alliances, and chart a course for sustainable development and prosperity. Entrepreneurs and business owners are encouraged to participate in this event to seize the potential for growth and innovation in the SME landscape of both countries.
