The Tommy Fleetwood Academy, in collaboration with the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA), is hosting three International Pathway Series events annually in the UAE. These events aim to give junior golfers more opportunities to showcase their talents and potentially earn college golf scholarships. The academy’s initiative bridges the gap between aspiring junior golfers and elite amateur competitions to promote grassroots golf development in the region.

The upcoming APGA Tommy Fleetwood International Pathway Series Presented by DP World in the UAE will take place on October 15 – 17, 2024 at Jumeirah Golf Estates, Earth Course, November 22 – 24, 2024 at Al Hamra Golf Club, Ras Al Khaimah, and January 10 – 12, 2025 at Yas Links Abu Dhabi. These tournaments will count towards the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) 2024 Junior Order of Merit and are open to junior golfers aged 12 to 18 with a valid handicap.

The partnership with AJGA offers a globally recognized pathway for elite amateur golfers to progress and compete at the highest level. The series of events provide junior golfers an opportunity to participate in 54-hole, no-cut events that also serve as qualifiers for the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) with support from The R&A. This initiative aims to make college golf scholarships more accessible for international junior golfers.

Tommy Fleetwood, ranked 11th in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) and 10th in the DP World Tour’s Race to Dubai Rankings, is excited about hosting the UAE’s first AJGA events. He views this partnership as a valuable opportunity for junior golfers in the region to pursue their passion for the sport and potentially reach professional levels. Fleetwood is scheduled to compete in various tournaments including the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth and the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship at Yas Links Abu Dhabi.

The collaboration between AJGA, Tommy Fleetwood, and DP World aims to nurture young talents and provide them a platform to grow and build their futures in golf. The initiative aligns with the mission of the AJGA to support junior golfers worldwide and promote the sport globally. The international expansion of AJGA’s membership aims to increase accessibility to college golf scholarships for junior golfers from different countries.

The partnership between AJGA, Tommy Fleetwood Academy, and DP World signifies a collective effort to invest in the future of golf and nurture the talents of young golfers. The series of events in the UAE and across the Middle East and Europe offer junior golfers an opportunity to showcase their skills and potentially pursue a career in golf. This collaboration aims to create a pathway for junior golfers to compete at the highest level and fulfill their dreams in the sport.
