Under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, the Youth Leadership Association recently hosted the 8th Youth Forum and marked the closing of the 7th Parliamentary Youth Program in Bahrain. The event aimed at empowering the youth of Bahrain through political engagement, leadership development, and legislative simulations, with over 40 young men and women participating. The forum was officially opened by Mr. Reda Ibrahim Munfredi, Chairman of the Shura Council’s Youth Affairs Committee, who praised the initiative for fostering the growth of youth leadership in the Kingdom.

Members from both the Shura and Representatives Councils, as well as Mrs. Karima Mohammed Al-Abbasi, Secretary-General of the Shura Council, attended the opening session, highlighting the strong support for youth initiatives that promote civic engagement and development. Discussions throughout the forum were led by prominent figures in Bahrain, including Dr. Mohamed Ali Hassan Ali, Mr. Ali Hussein Al-Shahabi, and Dr. Hani Abdullah Al-Sa’ati, offering valuable insights into various issues impacting the youth of the country. The sessions covered topics such as youth development, sports, the economy, and social issues, all examined through the lens of existing legislation and laws.

The forum provided participants with the opportunity to engage in simulated debates, mimicking the discussions held in the Shura Council’s legislative committees. This simulated environment allowed the young participants to debate key issues, exchange views, and develop a deeper understanding of the legislative process. The Parliamentary Youth Program, a key initiative of the Youth Leadership Association, was designed to inspire political participation among young people. By offering a platform for youth to engage with real-world legislative processes, the program aims to nurture their leadership skills and encourage them to take an active role in shaping the future of Bahrain.

Moreover, the forum facilitated the exchange of forward-thinking ideas, ensuring that the perspectives of young Bahrainis are incorporated into future policies and decisions. The success of this year’s forum and the Parliamentary Youth Program underscores Bahrain’s commitment to fostering a generation of informed, active, and capable leaders who will contribute to the Kingdom’s continued growth and development. The initiative received strong support from both the Shura Council and Representatives Council, demonstrating the importance placed on empowering the youth and preparing them for leadership roles in the country.

In conclusion, the 8th Youth Forum and the 7th Parliamentary Youth Program in Bahrain have successfully empowered young men and women through political engagement, leadership development, and legislative simulations. The support received from key figures in the Shura Council, Representatives Council, and the Youth Leadership Association highlights the commitment to fostering a generation of informed and capable leaders in the Kingdom. By providing a platform for youth to engage in real-world legislative processes and simulated debates, the programs aim to inspire political participation among young people and shape the future of Bahrain through their active involvement in decision-making processes.
