The Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit recently held its second annual meeting with government institutions to review the progress of work in projects and strategize on achieving the vision’s objectives. The meeting focused on issuing a guide for the vision offices to organize and unify efforts, as well as providing appropriate solutions to overcome challenges in implementation. Dr. Munther bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Deputy Head of the Unit, emphasized the vital role of vision offices in ensuring the quality of plans and aligning strategic programs to achieve the goals of Oman Vision 2040.

During the meeting, the Ministry of Education presented a visual presentation on activating office competencies, analyzing the strategic programs guide for the tenth five-year development plan, and addressing educational performance indicators. The Office of the Governor of North Al Sharqiyah highlighted achievements related to the vision’s priorities in sectors such as the private sector, investment, and international cooperation. The Development Bank’s Vision Office showcased achievements in preparing an in-country value framework and conducting seminars for employees about the vision.

The Vision Office in the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion discussed its work in 2023, including the manufacturing industries laboratory, workshops for the national intellectual property strategy, and the construction sector. More than 55 detailed plans were reviewed to ensure quality and alignment with the vision’s objectives. The meeting, attended by Dr. Khamis bin Saif Al Jabri, Head of the Implementation Follow-up Unit, and representatives from various government institutions, aimed to strengthen coordination and cooperation towards fulfilling the goals of Oman Vision 2040.

The continuation of such annual meetings underscores the commitment of Oman Vision 2040 stakeholders to monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. The guide issued during the meeting serves as a tool to streamline efforts and facilitate the work of vision implementation follow-up offices across government agencies. By emphasizing collaboration between vision offices and government institutions, the Unit aims to enhance coordination and effectiveness in achieving the vision’s long-term objectives.

The Ministry of Education’s presentation on activating office competencies and analyzing strategic programs demonstrates a proactive approach to enhancing educational performance and contributing to the vision’s overall goals. The Governorate of North Al Sharqiyah’s focus on key achievements in various sectors reflects a concerted effort to prioritize vision-related initiatives and drive sustainable development. Similarly, the Development Bank’s achievements in creating value frameworks and conducting employee seminars showcase a commitment to promoting the vision’s principles.

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion’s work on manufacturing industries, intellectual property strategy, and construction sector workshops highlights a comprehensive approach to fostering economic growth and innovation in line with Oman Vision 2040. The review of detailed plans underscores a commitment to quality assurance and strategic alignment in advancing the vision’s objectives. Overall, the collaborative efforts of vision offices and government institutions underscore a unified approach to realizing the vision’s aspirations and enhancing the socioeconomic landscape of Oman.
