The General Directorate of Traffic in Bahrain reported a total of 768 traffic violations by heavy vehicles in October. These violations included driving during peak hours, exceeding speed limits, improper overtaking, faulty and disintegrated tires, and overloading. These offenses pose serious risks to road safety and highlight the importance of compliance with traffic regulations.

One of the major concerns identified was heavy vehicles disregarding designated time restrictions, leading to increased traffic congestion during busy periods. Additionally, several drivers were caught operating trucks at speeds beyond the legal limit, putting other road users at risk. Wrongful overtaking by large trucks was also a common infraction, endangering motorists on the road.

The report also highlighted violations related to non-compliance with safety standards, such as faulty and deteriorating tires on trucks. This increases the risk of accidents on highways. Furthermore, many trucks were found carrying excessive loads, causing cargo to fall onto roads and compromising the safety of other vehicles and pedestrians.

To address these issues, the General Directorate of Traffic has intensified efforts to monitor heavy vehicles and enforce traffic laws to ensure public safety. Trucks that fail to meet safety requirements, including overloaded cargo and faulty equipment, are issued fines. It is crucial for drivers and companies to adhere to traffic regulations, especially for heavy vehicles, as they have a significant impact on road conditions and safety.

Authorities in Bahrain emphasize the importance of taking necessary precautions to avoid penalties and ensure the safety of all road users. Compliance with traffic regulations is essential for maintaining a safe road environment for everyone. By prioritizing road safety and following traffic laws, drivers and companies can contribute to reducing traffic violations and creating a safer transportation system for all.
