The Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence meets with Italian military representative

Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Zaabi, Secretary General at the Ministry of Defence, recently met with Lt. Gen Carmine Masiello, Chief of Staff of the Italian Army, to discuss the existing relations between Oman and Italy. The meeting, held at Al Murtafa’a Garrison, also covered various topics of common interest and was attended by other high-ranking officials from both countries.

During the meeting, the two sides emphasized the importance of maintaining strong relations between Oman and Italy. They discussed ways to further enhance cooperation in the defense sector and explore new areas of collaboration. This demonstrates the commitment of both countries to strengthening their partnership and working together towards common goals.

In attendance were Maj. Gen Mattar Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), and Brigadier Ahmed Ibrahim Ambu Saidi, Director General of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Defense. The presence of these officials highlights the significance of the meeting and underscores the mutual interest in deepening bilateral ties between Oman and Italy.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for the two sides to exchange views on regional and international security issues. The military attaché at the Italian Embassy in Muscat was also present at the meeting, further highlighting the importance of diplomatic and military relations between the two countries.
