Al Sraiya Stud’s Afas Al Rayyan emerged as the champion in the Senior Stallions Championship (Class SSC). This event was part of the two horse shows organized by the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC) at the indoor arena of Al Shaqab, under the ECAHO umbrella. These shows served as the opening of the horse show season and demonstrated the significant participation from Qatari farms, studs, and individual owners, highlighting Qatar’s prominence in the equestrian field.

The participants in the shows showed a strong desire to compete and win titles and prize money. The regular organization of such events presents an opportunity for individuals and farms to showcase their horses and talent. The season is expected to be filled with strong competition and excitement as breeders and owners aim to take home top honors.

The first event, the 4th Qatar Arabian Breeders Cup, was exclusively reserved for Qatari breeders and featured a display of beautiful horses that captivated the audience. The stunning displays showcased the beauty and grace of Arabian horses, attracting owners and enthusiasts from all around. The presence of nine judges, four Disciplinary Committee members, and two Ringmasters from different countries added an element of international expertise and diversity to the show.

Afas Al Rayyan from Al Sraiya Stud’s impressive performance in the Senior Stallions Championship (Class SSC) earned it the title of champion. The horse’s exceptional qualities and the team’s dedication and hard work were evident in their victory. The event served as a platform for breeders and owners to present their finest horses and compete at the highest level, setting the tone for the upcoming season of horse shows in Qatar.

The participation of Qatari farms, studs, and individual owners in the shows underscored Qatar’s strong presence in the equestrian community. The country’s commitment to promoting and developing the breeding and showing of Arabian horses was highlighted through these events. The success and popularity of the shows reflect the passion and dedication of breeders and owners towards showcasing the beauty and talent of Arabian horses.

As the horse show season kicks off in Qatar, the anticipation for more exciting competitions and displays continues to grow. The success of the recent events has set the stage for a season filled with strong competition, high stakes, and the pursuit of excellence in the equestrian world. Breeders, owners, and enthusiasts are poised to witness thrilling performances and spectacular showcases of Arabian horses at upcoming shows, building on the momentum of these successful events.
