The Prime Minister of Kuwait meets with Sayyid Badr

Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, recently met with Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister of Oman, who was visiting Kuwait to participate in the 10th round of the Oman-Kuwait Joint Committee. During the meeting at Bayan Palace, the two officials discussed the strong bilateral relations between the two countries and explored opportunities for further cooperation in political, economic, and cultural fields.

The discussions also touched on a variety of regional and international issues of mutual interest. In particular, the need to support international efforts to end the Israeli aggression in Gaza and Lebanon was emphasized. Both sides agreed on the importance of addressing the escalating tensions in the region and promoting peaceful political solutions to restore stability and peace for all.

The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Ahmed Hashil Al Maskari, Head of the GCC and Regional Neighbourliness Department, Dr. Saleh Amer Al Kharousi, Ambassador of Oman to Kuwait, and other officials from both countries. The presence of key representatives from both sides highlights the commitment to strengthening ties and finding common ground on important regional and global issues.

The relationship between Kuwait and Oman has been historically strong, and both countries have worked together on various initiatives to promote peace and stability in the region. The regular meetings of the Oman-Kuwait Joint Committee serve as a platform for dialogue and cooperation on a range of issues, further solidifying the friendship between the two nations.

As part of the discussions, the officials also highlighted the importance of enhancing economic and cultural exchanges between Kuwait and Oman. Strengthening trade relations, promoting investments, and increasing people-to-people contact were identified as key areas for collaboration to further deepen the bonds between the two countries.

Overall, the meeting between Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al Ahmad Al Sabah and Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi underscored the commitment of Kuwait and Oman to working together to address regional challenges and strengthen bilateral relations. By emphasizing the importance of cooperation and dialogue, the two countries aim to contribute to peace and stability in the region, while also fostering mutual understanding and prosperity for their people.
