The 27th Asian Men’s Club League Handball Championship began with an exciting opening ceremony at Al Duhail Main Hall. The event was attended by Vice President of the International Handball Federation Badr Al Dhiyab, General Supervisor of Al Rayyan Sports Club Eng. Mohammed Al Atwan, and Chairman of the Media Committee of the tournament Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Thani, who all spoke during the ceremony. The tournament kicked off with a match between hosts Al Rayyan and Bahrain’s Al Shabab, which ended in a thrilling 29-29 tie.

The Asian Men’s Club League Handball Championship is a nine-team competition that will determine which team qualifies for the upcoming IHF Men’s Handball Club World Championship in Egypt in 2025. The tournament will run until November 23, with teams from across Asia competing for the chance to represent the continent on the world stage. This event is a significant opportunity for teams to showcase their skills and talent, while also providing an exciting and competitive atmosphere for fans of the sport.
