Big Tech leaders took to social media to congratulate president-elect Donald Trump on his election victory. Billionaire Elon Musk, a clear Trump ally and major financial donor to his campaign, expressed optimism about the future under Trump’s leadership. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, despite a rocky relationship with Trump, acknowledged his “decisive victory” and highlighted the opportunities ahead for the country. Apple CEO Tim Cook and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai also expressed their willingness to work with the incoming administration.

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos described Trump’s win as an “extraordinary political comeback and decisive victory,” emphasizing the opportunities for the country. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella also extended their well wishes to Trump and expressed their commitment to collaboration in driving innovation forward. However, not all tech leaders celebrated Trump’s win, with some like LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman calling for unity and hope for a strong future in America.

Melinda Gates, philanthropist and former Microsoft executive, expressed disappointment in the election outcome but emphasized the ongoing work of advocates and activists in fighting for equality and justice. Katie Stanton, a tech executive with a background at Twitter, Google, and Yahoo, highlighted the need for unity and healing in the country after a divisive election. Despite differing reactions among tech leaders, the overall sentiment was a mix of congratulatory messages, calls for unity, and hope for a better future under the new administration.
