‘Superboys of Malegaon’ to screen at BFI London Film Festival – News

Superboys of Malegaon, featuring Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Shashank Arora, is set to be showcased at the prestigious 68th BFI London Film Festival. The announcement was made by producer Zoya Akhtar on Instagram, where she shared the poster of the film. The movie is inspired by real events and is based in the town of Malegaon in Maharashtra, India.

The storyline revolves around Nasir Shaikh, an amateur filmmaker from Malegaon, who decides to make a film for the town residents. The people of Malegaon find solace in Bollywood movies and Nasir sees an opportunity to bring a positive change by creating a film that resonates with their daily lives. The movie showcases Nasir’s journey as he gathers his friends to turn his vision into reality, breathing new life into the town.

Superboys of Malegaon will be screened at the BFI London Film Festival on October 10 at the Vue West End and on October 12 at the Curzon Soho. This will be the film’s second international screening following its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 13. The film has been receiving positive reviews from critics and audiences alike for its unique storyline and authentic portrayal of life in a small town in India.
