Sung wins 30th Dubai Duty Free Golf Cup despite missing trophy presentation

Hyosun Kim accepted the trophy on behalf of her husband, Brandon Sung, who emerged victorious in the 30th Dubai Duty Free Golf Cup at Montgomerie Golf Club. Sung scored 42 stableford points to secure the win but had to leave early due to work commitments, prompting his wife to accept the prestigious trophy from Colm McLoughlin, Dubai Duty Free’s Executive Vice Chairman and CEO. The tournament featured a large field of 90 players, showcasing the event’s significance in Dubai’s golfing community.

Leia MacCullum and Hakan Aakerlund claimed victory in the Junior and Senior Divisions, respectively, while Young Cho, Marije Van Koolwijk, and Maxine Minty were the top three winners in the Ladies Division. The Men’s Division saw Dean Watson clinch the top spot with 42 points, followed by Fortunato La Riccia and Nicholas Cameron in the second and third positions after a countback. The event celebrated its 30th edition with a successful turnout and competitive spirit among the participants.

Colm McLoughlin expressed gratitude to all the players and congratulated the winners of the 30th Dubai Duty Free Golf Cup. He also extended appreciation to Montgomerie Golf Club for hosting a memorable day for the competitors. The tournament showcased a high level of competition and camaraderie among the participants, highlighting the strong golfing community in Dubai and the region.
