The UAE residents can expect rainfall in the coming days as the country transitions into the summer season. According to Dr Ahmed Habib from the National Centre of Meteorology, convective cloud activity is expected around June 8-9, leading to rain in the eastern mountainous regions of the UAE. The extension of the Indian monsoons will also impact the country for most of the month, with intermittent cloud development over certain areas.

However, the formation of these clouds and subsequent rainfall will depend on various parameters such as temperature, humidity, and wind direction. The convective clouds are expected to produce precipitation over the mountainous terrain in the eastern parts of the country. While the rainfall will initially start in Oman, the UAE is expected to gradually experience the effects of the monsoon.

In addition to the expected rainfall, temperatures in the UAE have been on the rise, with a peak expected soon. The country experienced a high of 49.2°C last week, with temperatures over 45°C reported on subsequent days. Dr Habib mentioned that the temperatures have gradually increased across all areas and are expected to persist over the coming weeks and months as part of the usual climate pattern.

Despite the increase in temperatures, the humidity in the country has shown a slight decrease compared to May, particularly in the latter half of the month. This decrease in humidity reduces the chances of fog or mist formation. Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest weather news and follow the National Centre of Meteorology for updates on the expected rainfall and weather conditions in the coming days. Stay tuned for more updates on the weather patterns and expected rainfall in the UAE.
