As school is about to end, high school students are eagerly anticipating their two-month summer break. With most schools closing for summer holidays in the first week of July and reopening in late August, this break is especially significant for Grade 12 and Year 13 students who will be graduating. In anticipation of their summer plans, Khaleej Times spoke to a few students to get an idea of how they intend to spend their well-deserved break.

Abdulla AlHosani, a grade 12 public school student, shared his excitement about traveling to London with his classmates. He sees this trip as a special opportunity to create lasting memories before they go their separate ways. Similarly, Fatima AlKaabi, also a grade 12 public school student, has planned a cruise to Oman with her friends to celebrate their upcoming 18th birthdays. While she is sad to leave behind her friends and teachers, she is looking forward to the new experiences that college will bring.

On the other hand, Erfan Farouzi, a Year 13 private student, is focusing on implementing his REWILD program and continuing his environmental advocacy work during the summer break. He aims to raise awareness about environmental issues through speaking engagements, workshops, and publications. Sarah Lobo, a Year 13 private school student, is balancing fun and productivity by taking summer courses and learning a new language to prepare for higher education. Like Sarah, many high school graduates are looking forward to pursuing activities that excite them during the summer break.

In conclusion, as high school students gear up for their summer break, they have a variety of plans lined up. From traveling abroad and celebrating milestones with friends to engaging in advocacy work and balancing fun with productivity, each student is approaching their summer break in a unique and exciting way. Whatever their plans may be, this summer break is sure to be a memorable time for students as they prepare for the next chapter in their lives.
