The team secured important victories over hosts, Qatar, and Bahrain, followed by a semifinal triumph against Hong Kong. In the final match against a formidable Thailand team, the UAE secured a thrilling six-run victory with the help of Kavisha Egodage’s stellar performance.
Their success in the Asia Qualifier propelled them to the global qualifier earlier in 2024, where the team continued to impress by reaching the semifinal stage. Under the leadership of Esha Oza, the team showcased exceptional skills and determination, ultimately losing to the experienced Sri Lankan team in a closely contested match at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed Cricket Stadium.
