Two teenage swimmers from Dubai qualify for 2024 Paris Olympics – News

Two Dubai school students, Karin Belbeisi and Christina Rach, have qualified for the upcoming Olympics in Paris after years of intense swim training. Belbeisi, a member of the elite swimming programme at GEMS Wellington Academy – Al Khail, will represent Jordan in the 400-metre freestyle event. She achieved lifetime bests in various events at the 19th Singapore Nationals, securing her spot in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. On the other hand, Rach, a sprint swimmer and sports scholar at GEMS Wellington International School, will compete in the 50-metre freestyle event for Eritrea. She also set a personal best in the 50m freestyle event during the World Aquatics Championships to qualify for the Paris Games.

Belbeisi expressed her excitement at representing Jordan at the Olympics, calling it a dream come true. She is looking forward to showcasing her skills on the international stage and making her country proud. Similarly, Rach is thrilled to have the opportunity to swim at the highest level in the sport.
