The Saudi national taekwondo team recently made history at the 26th Asian Championships in Da Nang, Vietnam, by securing their first-ever gold medals at the prestigious event. Donia Abutaleb claimed the first gold in the women’s 53 kg category, defeating competitors from India, the Philippines, and Chinese Taipei before emerging victorious in the final match against a Thai opponent. This victory marked a significant milestone for Saudi women in the history of the Asian Taekwondo Championships.
