Rayhan Thomas, a Dubai-born professional golfer, is making plans for the future beyond 2024. With arrangements in place to compete in the International Series – England on the Asian Tour at Foxhills in London, from 8th – 11th August. Thomas is excited to see Michael Block, a 48-year-old club professional from the USA, who made an impact in the 2023 US PGA Championship in New York, also participating in the tournament as an invite. Thomas has been on a successful run, finishing eighth in his last tournament, the International Series – Morocco, leading to his invite to the upcoming tournament at Foxhills.

Having been practicing and playing golf in Dubai, Thomas is keeping his game sharp and tournament ready. With a coach in California, Dana Dahlquist, who has also worked with top players like Bryson DeChambeau, Viktor Hovland, and Charles Howell III, Thomas is confident in his preparation for upcoming events. He connects with Indian golfers like Shiv Kapur, Anirban Lahiri, Gaganjeet Bhullar, and Jeev Milkha Singh, seeking mentorship and advice from experienced players who have represented India on various prestigious platforms worldwide.

Maintaining fitness and routine, Thomas is focused on competing in the Coimbatore Open in India after his England tournament. He plans to participate in the Korn Ferry Q’School, the DP World Tour Q’School, and aims for further invites on the Asian Tour along with the Asian Tour Q’School. With a busy schedule ahead, Thomas is hopeful that all his travel plans align smoothly. As an amateur, scheduling was easier, but now as a professional, he faces the challenge of managing multiple events and commitments, staying focused on his game.

Looking forward to the rest of the season and beyond, Thomas remains optimistic about his opportunities in professional golf. With plans for the upcoming Asian Tour events in Thailand and other invites, he hopes to secure his schedule for the next year. Dealing with visa and tax administration issues, Thomas is eager to get back to tournament golf, eager to showcase his skills and compete at the highest level. As he navigates the professional golf circuit, he understands the challenges that come with the territory and remains committed to honing his craft and making a mark in the golfing world.
