The launch of a new girls’ football program in Qatar is set to revolutionize opportunities for female athletes in the region. Qatar Foundation and PSG Academy have joined forces to create a program that will take place inside the Education City Stadium, a venue from the FIFA 2022 World Cup. This initiative aims to foster athletic skills, leadership, and empowerment among young girls aged 6 and over.

The program, set to kick off tomorrow, will provide professional-level coaching for girls, focusing on both technical skills and personal development. Fabien Dilem, Paris Saint-Germain General Manager of Middle East and India, expressed the goal of creating a supportive environment for girls to develop their soccer abilities and personal growth. The Education City Stadium venue aims to inspire these girls to reach their full potential, both on the field and in life.

Kholoud Al Ali, Communication Initiatives and Outreach Director at Qatar Foundation, highlighted the foundation’s commitment to promoting the participation of women in sports. The collaboration with PSG and the launch of the QF Girls’ Football Program at Education City Stadium reflects this dedication to providing opportunities for girls to enhance their mental, physical, and social well-being through sports.

The program will be led by a team of experienced coaches with professional football backgrounds. Training sessions will focus on core skills like dribbling, passing, shooting, and tactical understanding, while also incorporating lessons on sportsmanship and the importance of mental and physical well-being. Registration for the program is now open to girls of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced players, with flexible scheduling options for weekly sessions.

Overall, the launch of the girls’ football program in Qatar represents a significant step towards empowering female athletes in the region. By providing professional-level coaching at the iconic Education City Stadium, young girls will have the opportunity to develop their soccer abilities while also nurturing their personal growth. The collaboration between Qatar Foundation and PSG Academy underscores the commitment to promoting women’s participation in sports and providing a supportive environment for girls to thrive both on and off the field.
