Qatar placed in Group F for AFC U17 Asian Cup 2025 Qualifiers following draw

The draw for the AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2025 Qualifiers took place at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday. Qatar has been drawn into Group F alongside Japan, Mongolia, and Nepal. The qualifiers will be held between October 19-27, 2024, with a total of 43 teams divided into 10 groups. The top 10 group winners and the five best second-placed teams will advance to the Finals, which are scheduled to be hosted by Saudi Arabia from April 3-20, 2025.

The groups for the AFC U17 Asian Cup 2025 Qualifiers were drawn as follows: Group A: Jordan (Host), Iran, Syria, Hong Kong, China, and DPR Korea. Group B: Cambodia (Host), Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, and Macau. Group C: China (Host), Korea Republic, Bahrain, Bhutan, and Maldives. Group D: Thailand (Host), India, Brunei Darussalam, and Turkmenistan. Group E: Chinese Taipei (Host), Uzbekistan, Iraq, and Palestine. Group F: Qatar (Host), Japan, Mongolia, and Nepal. Group G: Kuwait (Host), Australia, Indonesia, and Northern Mariana Islands. Group H: Laos (Host), Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, and Lebanon. Group I: Vietnam (Host), Yemen, Kyrgyz Republic, and Myanmar. Group J: Singapore (Host), Tajikistan, Oman, and Guam.

Qatar’s U-17 team will be looking to replicate their success from the 1990 edition of the tournament, where they lifted their only continental title. The AFC U17 Asian Cup 2025 Qualifiers will provide an opportunity for young talents to showcase their skills and compete at a high level of international football. With the Finals set to take place in Saudi Arabia, teams will be vying for a chance to participate in the prestigious tournament in April 2025.

The qualifiers will see teams from across Asia competing for a spot in the Finals, with each group presenting its unique challenges and opportunities.
