Qatar faces Bahrain in the final of the Arab Volleyball Championship on Sunday.

The 23rd Arab Volleyball Championship is currently taking place in Bahrain, with Qatar set to face Bahrain in the final match. Qatar secured their spot in the final by defeating Tunisia in the semi-finals with a score of 3-1. The match results were 19-25, 25-19, 25-22, and 25-21. Bahrain also qualified for the final by defeating Oman with three clean sets.

Qatar’s journey to the final included a victory over Iraq in the quarter-finals and topping Group Two in the group stage by defeating Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Kuwait. The tournament features a total of eight teams divided into two groups, with the first group consisting of Oman, Iraq, Tunisia, and Bahrain, while the second group includes Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan.

The Qatari team is led by players such as Youssef Aghlaf, Mubarak Al Kuwari, and Mohammed Al Sharshani. Qatar Volleyball Association President, Ali Ghanem Al Kuwari, expressed his delight at the team’s qualification for the final and praised their performance throughout the tournament. He highlighted the team’s serious preparations and efforts from both the technical and administrative staff and players.

Looking ahead to the final match against Bahrain, Al Kuwari acknowledged the challenge posed by the strong Bahraini team, especially playing on their home turf. He emphasized the team’s awareness of the difficulty of the upcoming match and expressed pride in the performance displayed by the Qatari players so far. The team is focused on achieving the best results to please their fans and continue their successful tournament run.
